Sway Linkage Help Please
Sway Linkage Help Please
Need some help please. My sway bar linkage was disconnected when my jack stand fell as I was doing an exhaust install. Now, I can't seem to get the linkage to sit right. It's partially in there, but it doesn't seem to be fitting completely flush. Any thoughts or help in resolving my little issue will be much appreciated.
yes, it's one of the enlinks that popped out of its joint. I'll try to get some pix up tomorrow. I believe I'm going to have to replace the link. And now there's a grinding sound, I just hope I didn't bend the drive axle and have to replace it.
u tried to just jam it back in? or did u raise the car back up before trying to get it back into the hole?
remove the wheel, jack that corner up, wrestle with the sway bar a little cause it could've moved when the linkage disconnected.

It fell on the pavement. There's a big scratch on the sway bar from the jack stand. Thank you all for the help, I actually had to take it in and pay 50 bux to get the end link replaced. Apparently once it pops out of that knuckle, the epoxy is shot; i.e. teh little part has to be replaced.
Back to a continual problem. On some days when the car is hot, there is a heavy vibration. I'm pretty sure it's either the exhaust hitting the undercarriage or the bumper, but I'm not sure how to check it because it will only do it under heavy acceleration while in drive and not in park. I know that I need to cut my bumper some, but do any of you have any advice how to fix the vibration under the frame. (I think it may be in the center of the car just beyond the cat as the exhaust shifts itself diagonally to the right side of the body.)

not sure why you paid someone to fix it, its a $13 part and 2 nuts to change, but whatever. If the exhaust is riding too high, get a longer hanger.
