Type:1
[D2 Racing | K sport | Tein Basic | Tein SS ]
Coilover only has 2 locking perch nuts. Those nuts affect both spring load and height. Height is adjusted by lowering the perch, therefore lowering the shocks travel, moreover reducing ride quality and bottom out insurance.
Type:2
[JIC MAGIC | BuddyCLUB | Tein FLEX]
Coilover has 3 locking perch nuts. The top two only affect spring load. The 3rd and last locknut on the bottom, allows for the entire shock body to move up and down changing ride hieght but not affecting shock travel. This is better becuase the ride quality would be the same for all heights.
Any of the Gurus care to chime and and correct me if im wrong? Boilermaker? Rob Clark?

Boggie, I highly suggest calling up Ksport to get directions on how to set them up. My JICs are currently getting fixed because I didn't set them up properly because I didn't have instructions. It is imperative that you set them up right the first time.
On most Ksport applications the bottom mount is movable to adjust height, but on this application the bottom mount, and bracket should not be moveable, it should be welded to the shock body. The fronts have a helper spring on top, this is how you will get your height adjustment. The top spring has no rate to it, it can be compressed by hand, it only holds the larger spring in place. In order to adjust height you will adjust the perch that the spring sits on. Down to lower the car, and up to raise it. Once the car is on the ground the helper spring will fully compress, and act as the top perch for the main spring. you will not lose stoke because this model is designed to do so, it has longer stoke than other applications for this reason. Than at desired height you want to use both wrenches to lock it in place, use both in oppisite directions, locking only the bottom does not have the same effect.

Are these really exactly the same as the D2 design just labeled differently? Are you affiliated with D2 sports? Can i get customer support or warrenty through you with my D2 coils? How about parts like the bushings?
I went directly through the company itself, but i you guys want a set you'll need to check out their website www.ksportusa.com and look at their distributor list. I think theres a distributor in arizona, I believe $800 gets them shipped to your door.
