Rear Wheel Bearing

Hey Guys,

My bearing on the passenger rear has taken a sh|t and Im going to be changing it this weekend...Anything I should know as I have not changed a hub unit on a civic with drums....

Any tips would be helpful...

it should be pretty easy. remove the drum, remove the dust cap, nut, and other nuts holding hub on, remove and replace with new one.

etdigitalis should not be trusted
aside from just a new hub, you're going to want to replace the spindle nut. one side is going to be locked into the end of the spindle by a "dimple" which you're going to have to bend-out to get it off.

when you put the new one on, use a little bit of engine oil inbetween the nut/hub and tighten it to 134ft lbs. afterwards, use a drift pin and a hammer to bend that nut back in there.
