Lightbulb Skunk2 + Kyb Agx= Good or Bad??

Once I get some, good, feedback on Skunk2 Coiloves with Kyb Agx Shocks I think I will purchase the shocks. Does anyone have this setup?, or know anyone with this setup? Will there need to be any modifications for this project or no? THANKS a Million all...

How much is the drop with the Skunk2? AGX are designed to work with the stock springs are a lowering of no more than 1.5" is recommended by KYB. These are very good struts, I love the ride and handling but if you lower them more than that you risk blowing them quickly.

Will 1.5" is just fine with me. Now if I install the Kyb shocks with my stock spings, how much lower will the car be??

Same as Stock. Shocks doesn't lower the vehicle unless they've been designed to do so by means of a shorter body or different lower perch position. I already have the Skunk2 springs, well, check how much they lower the car before ordering shocks. If you're looking for lowering springs, you might wanna check the Eibach Pro-Kit or Tein S-Techs which lower the vehicle a bit less than 1.5". I don't know about the others, so you might want to search about them.

skunk2 sleeved coilovers will NOT work with aftermarket shocks that i know of. there was a member here who tried installing KYB struts/shocks on his skunk2 coilovers on his sedan and the KYB strut wont fit thru the coilover perches. and secondly, ive talked to a personal 7thgen sedan owner who also had skunk2 coilovers and tried installing KYB's as well. both had no luck and the strut wont fit thru the coilover perches.

after i figured out myself, i talked to my personal mechanic and he told me skunk2 sleeved coilovers are meant to go with OEM factory struts (not sure if all vehicles, but mine yes). so for us skunk2 sleeved coilover owners, were pretty much fcuked as aftermarket shocks/struts go.

By the time you pay for both of them you could almost get true coilovers which are much better! Sleeved coilovers are POS! I think Tein Basic & D2 True Coilovers start around $850. The shocks and skunk 2's are problably around $700 or so....

Well then I guess I will just maybe try to sell my Skunk2 Coilovers and find just a set of springs that will lower my car 1.5-2.0".

The two nuts that come with the front are supposed to replace the stock hardware that holds the strut assembly together on top. You'll notice they're nylon lockers, where the stocks are just plain nuts.

I have to say the best part of the KYB AGXs so far is the abundance of small screwdrivers i'm left with after the install.

Traffic signs are universal - red means stop or danger, but red in the shocks means STIFF!
Verde es para flojos, hombre!
