My $2.29 front Koni insert fix
So after eliminating just about all of the noises when I installed my Koni's, I had one left. What happened to me was the top of the insert started developing some play in it after a year or so and started making noises. The noise would occur when I would make a really slow turn(like turning into a parking lot) or when I was reversing and turning(like backing into a parking space). This is after making sure that the bottom bolt that holds in the insert was torqued correctly along with every bolt and nut and fix you could imagine. So, here's what I did. I took my insert out and cut two slots about a 1/2" down from the top on my strut housing. I reinstalled the insert and put a 2" muffler clamp around the two slots I made on the housing. Then I just tightened the clamp enough to hold the insert from ever moving. This actually will help make the insert more secure within the housing and if the bottom insert bolt was the ever come out or become loose, I'd still be safe. Looks ghetto, but I feel more safer now and have no more noises now.
If you have Konis and want to try this fix, a word of caution. The Koni instructions say to cut 40mm off he top of the housing. I didnt do that, instead I cut mine at 30mm so I would have more support. So I dont know if the muffler clamp would have enough room to clamp on properly.

Rep Power: 310 Thats actually not a rubber gasket, its a dust cover to keep crap from falling in between the housing and insert. I do have mine installed, I just folded it out of the way for the pictures.
