Advice: Firestone Lifetime Alignments
Advice: Firestone Lifetime Alignments
Ive been reading the boards so much latley and so many of you are killing tires from not doing alignments or getting camber kits. I have 2 things of advice.
1.If your car is lowered make sure you pick up one of these (SPC Camber Kits) to save your $400+ tires.

Im not advertising, Im just trying to help those out who are wondering why the inside of their tires are almost bald and have little mileage on em.
2. After getting your camber kit, or already having one take your car to an alignment shop. Firestone Corp. offers a Lifetime alignment service in most states where it is available.
This lifetime feature lets you get UNLIMITED alignments on the car that you purchase it on. (Some will even do a transfer from car to car for about $30). The service is $120-140 depending on where you live. That may seem like a lot but think of what you get.
Each alignment that you do costs $50-80(good folks at honda charge
). Do 2 alignments in your life and you have just equated the same value of the lifetime firestone alignments. I know, our shop car has 2 sets of wheels we use. Winter wheels and summer race wheels. I get them aligned every season 2x just to be on the safe side.
If you auto-x or road race, this is a dream come true.
Again, go to firestone, get your alignments done, and hell if you dont like it, take it back over and over again

yea, i am thinking about that once i have my suspensions done
*ahem, koni suspension kit gb, lol*
good advice.
I assume firestone does lowered cars and know how to properly adjust camber kits, right? (i think it might vary from shop to shop, but in general)

I just force my local guys to and they have come to know me.
They will say "its to low for the machine"
Respond with, ill drive it up if you dont beleive me
"they will do it and go, oh wow, it does fit"
Then its all good.

I had Firestone do an alignment in the past. They argued that my rear is alignable, even though it is not (not a Civic, by the way). They aligned it, steering wheel was crooked, I took it back, they re-aligned it, steering wheel still crooked, and now it is "impossible to get it aligned correctly and have the steering wheel straight". What a crock. I hope nobody is dealing with a Firestone in Phoenix on Bell Road.

I have taken my car to firestone for wheel balancing and I won't ever take anything back to them. I know it seems like a dream come true, but when you know more about alignments than the guys there, something is wrong.

yup chicago people come see me. ill hook you up with a 4 wheel alignment for 50 bucks. ill adjust front and rear toe. if you have rear camber kit i can adjust it to the specs you want. i can also adjust front camber a little bit with stock bolts. if you have the front camber bolts then no problemo. i can put it back all within to specs so your tires will not wear.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ADVICE. I was gonna go check out their deal after seeing this thread, cuz with how many alignments I get, its needed. I always see the one on bell. I live on Bell rd, btw. Are you from phoenix? I usually go to Campus Alignment, and they have absolutely no problems with lowered cars. The old guys are like, the only problem is its low, raise it and it will "look" better. They arent into lowriders, hehe, but they are cool as fu** and dont complain in the slightest about a lowered car. They use lasers that reach under the car for their alignments. only 70 bucks for everything (after lowering) and now like 40-50 for doublechecking, making adjustments, drive it around, and make more adjustments if it got knocked out. Very smart people who do an AWESOME job. I send my friends there. If ya ever want their number let me know
I used to live in Phoenix. I can't remember the address, but I think it was 3540 W Bell Rd, on the west side of the interstate. Been a while, so I am not 100% sure. I think there was a Bank One on the corner, and maybe an Enterprise car rental place in the strip mall. I bought tires there, great deal. No problems. Alignment, look elsewhere. PM me if needed.
Mine was not one of the "Lifetime Warranty" alignments, just a one time deal.
The alignment was good, but the steering wheel was crooked. I might be still riding on the alignment job. Moved away from PHX late 2002, I think.

I take my car to a local place that specializes in lowered cars. The Supra guys go there, and they can match their custom camber specs exactly, so I suppose it's good enough for my Civic
