??? on installing cusco rear upper strut bar
First off, do I need to remove the cover on the passenger side, that looks like it protects some wires? The plate with the 45 degree bend in it is hitting it. Also, did you use the 2 small bolts and bolt the plate down to the frame? not the ones that bolt to the top of the strut, but the ones on the frame?
I hope this isn't too confusing, but if you/ve installed this bar, it should make sense.

Yes the cover needs to come off, theres nothing under it but a wire connection that is harnessed in anyways. I bolted in the frame mount on the left side (you need to add a nutsert), but did not bolt it in on the right side because something was in the way.

what is a nutsert, and how do i get it in there? even if i could get a nut in there, say using a magnet, i would have no way of keeping it from spinning while i tightened the bolt......

A nutsert isn't really a nut. Its a threaded sleeve insert that you can weld (or JB weld) into a hole in sheetmetal so you can bolt something in when you don't have access to the back side. Might also be called a T nut.
You can see it behind the plate

gotcha, went to our local parts store and got two, I drilled out the right side, that piece of sheet metal blocking the hole wasnt that thick. The bars is in! Wish we didn't have a snow on the ground so I could go try it out!
