Attention: full coilover owners

I've had my D2 coilovers on for a couple months now and have had no problems. Since it is getting colder now, my coilovers are starting to squeak. I don't mind this but the thing that i do mind is that when i'm just cruising between 0 and 40mph the front drivers side wheel well sounds like somethings rubbing. Not really metal on metal but loud enough to hear over the radio. I checked everything out and everything looks ok. Anybody have any ideas to what it is? Could it be from the cold weather? Thanks in advance?

Are you sure its not your breaks? There is a pin that will grind into your rotor when the pad gets low.

does the sound go away when turning left? If so, it's a wheel bearing.

Other than that it could be any number of things in the front end from brakes to alignment to worn suspension/steering components

yeah i'm sure it's not my brakes, i checked that out yesterday and i had a good amount of pads left. the sound does go away when turning left or right (i believe). What would cause a wheel bearing to go?

yes the coilovers make way more noise when it's cold. and i had a squeek/clunking noise on the right front about 2 weeks ago, i took everything apart like 5 times and found nothing wrong. so i went to the track beat the **** out of the car and now there is no noise.

one of my buddies has a 97 dsm. his wheel was squeaking when he was cruising and turning. Turned out it was a wheel bearing fault. We put it on a lift, and squeezed the bearing up and down, and guess what, water literally squirted out like a water fountain. It took care of the squeaks. But the mechanic still insisted he replace it before it really rusted out.
