tips on more front end bite...

I have an 01 LX coupe, I have neuspeed strut tower bar, lower rear tie bar 19mm, B+G springs, stock shocks, and 17" rims with 205/40/17's.

My question is the back feels awesome, but the front needs just a bit more bite... like when i enter a corner, I'm still feeling a bit too much understeer. Any suggestions? And I'm not willing to go into negative camber in the front.

Thanks

well, there are 3 ways to approch this, one is by adjusting your alignment. the other is by adjusting the roll-couple (the roll resistance at the front and rear of the car). and finally, you can tweak your handling with shocks.

with alignment, Though you have said you dont want any negitive camber on the nose, you could run -1 to -1.5 deg camber with Minimial if any extra wear, as long as you rotated the tires every 10,000 miles like you are suppose to.

for adjusting the roll couple.... you can either increase the roll resistance at the back (Increase spring rate, or increase the size of the anti-roll bar) or you can decrease the roll resistance at the front (Decrease spring rate or decrease the size of the anti-roll bar).

Finally you can pick up a set of Adjustible shocks, and adjust them to give you more of the handling you want. Konis would work perfecty here.

Note: from the looks of your setup, personally, the 1st thing I would do was get shocks.....

thanks, I have been considering moving to a coilover type setup, maybe the B+G coilovers since I've liked their springs ok.

On a side note, I ended up buying the OBX rear tie bar and it has two holes on the bar, one is the standard, the other is supposed to make the 19mm bar feel like a 22mm bar, the second set of holes are a little closer to the inside of the bar. Think that would help at all?

Are you talking about an Anti-roll bar?? or a tie bar? Because they do Two completly different jobs.

If its a 2 point adjustible Anti-roll bar, then Yes, moving the attachement point closer to the bars twisting point will help reduce understeer.

Hers a Pick of a 3 point adjustible Anti-roll bar, and this one is set on its stiffest setting.
