Removed Hayames. Yuck...
Took off my Hayames this weekend because they suck. Well they are a month old and 2 were blown. Both were leaking oil. Both of my tie rod ends are shot too. They were perfect and looked brand new just one month ago. Does anyone know the part number for both sides?
Well my car is up on blocks until I figure what I am going to replace them with????

DAMN dude, time to hit up warranty! Which ones were blown?
I'll check mine tonight, will post what I find. I know a couple of weeks ago I was cleaning back there and everything was OK - down to the tie rod ends. I imagine anyone with the "wiggle" problem would have screwed up tie rod ends...

YEAh my car will soon be up on blocks too as soon as i get my new suspension in. I have the Hayames on my ride but will be coming off as soon as my new set is coming in. I'm replacing my Hayames with D2 Sports full suspension for only a few hundred more, so hopefully they'll be worth it compared to the Hayames. Mine aren't blown at all, they are perfectly fine in the rear, it's just hte fronts are defective. Do to the wiggle in the front struts, it causes the toe to come out of line and thats what wore my tire down so fast. So i got the car parked and been riding my motorcycle for the past week waiting on parts. Hopefully i'll get them in this week and get my old suspension out and put the new in. Sorry about your luck, i had to replace both of my tie rods too on the front, that sucked, $100.00 down the drain for nothing really.
I would maybe shoot for the D2 suspension set, guess there are no known issues currently with them and they have adjustable dampening.

ok 100 bucks for tie rod ends.---chalk that up to learning pains.
I think I am just going to do tokico's with the nuespeed race springs I already have. I just want a slammed ride with a stock ride quality (or as close a possible)

Why don't you ask him? I called today and was supposed to stop by to chat but was working till 10. I'm not gonna absolutely freak out till I see some oil on these things....I'm trying real hard to not get overemotional about my car anymore, LOL.
It's raining tonight so I couldn't check, but I drove around a little bit on bumpy roads testing my baby out - no weird noises, seems to be as tight as when installed. And yes halflife, I still want 19's. If nothing goes wrong with these Hayames I'll buy 19s next year and run with them on Hayames. I don't drive hard enough or drop low enough to justify getting another set of coilovers, especially since I'm quite happy with my current setup. If these are blown though - that'll be a totally different story, and I'll be returning mine right quick for a refund.

Nothing against u because I have never dealt with you before but in my opinion any good tuner or supporting vendor would not let their customer buy these from them after all the problems that people have had. And the workmanship on these are horrible. They must not have child labor laws in China because they had a 2nd grader doing the welds on mine.
Best advice you could give is Save your pennies for Tein or just get some tokico's.

For the amount of money that i've put into Hayames, I could have had a set of Tein's after paying for alignments, replacing tie rod ends and just various labor here and there and dealing with Hayame since Feb '04"

Just checked all 4 shocks today while doing my monthly maintenance on the ol' girl. No oil yet, nothing indicative of any failure. The threads were damn dirty though, so I hit em with a good spritz from my good friend mr pressure washer.
thats good telly, awesome your not having issues with yours. how is the tire wear on your two front tires? Are they wearing unevenly at all or are they perfectly fine yet?
Thats the only issue I had with my Hayames, was the front struts would go defective and cause my toe to go bad and wear the tire out.

Well matrix, the fronts are holding up prety well, and no sign of UNeven wear, even with the slight camber up front. However, all 4 tires will likely need replacement halfway through the next season - I've been driving a little more aggressively this year cause my suspension has been beefed up. The tires I have in rear have more tread than up front, likely due to the fact that this season I actually had weight up front....last year, the H&R's rear sag left me with no front weight. This year's Hayame adjustment meant I could actually grab pavement, LOL, so of course the fronts are wearing. Damn Kumhos....I wonder if Wanli makes 19" tires....
I read all these threads damning Hayames and I feel so lucky I'm still holdin up with no problems. I can't afford to be without my car for even 12 hours.
