Fuel Rail Removal (Part of Head Gasket Job)
Fuel Rail Removal (Part of Head Gasket Job)
2003 Honda Civic EX
I'm not entirely sure if that's part of the fuel rail, or what it is to be entirely honest. I'm trying to get access to the head gasket. I have removed everything else I believe. Timing belt and all that good stuff, thanks to YouTube.
I cant find anything on this (not very detailed anyways). I could really use some pictures or video showing what to do, if anybody here has any.

Second pic, I assume you are trying to get the wire harness freed from a little metal tab/bracket?
Go to the oxygen sensor harness connector and study how it is anchored and how it releases from its metal mounting tab, the injector harness is probably released in a very similar manner.
I don't mean how the connectors are plugged in, I mean how they are anchored.
Personally, I unbolt the manifold and leave it in the car when I pull a head off.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to do.
And for the oxygen sensor harness connector? Where is that located? This is all very new to me.
I was thinking of doing the same thing leaving it attached. To do that, I have take off the brackets from underneath? Then I can pull it off in one piece?

Follow the O2 sensor wiring to where it meets the wire harness near the bellhousing, the connectors should be mounted to a metal tab
There are at least 3 fasteners you have to reach that hold the bottom of the intake to some brackets.
