Whats up everyone.
I just installed my B+g's a while ago, and then dropped my car pretty much to as low as i can go before rubbin my fat 215 45 17's. Now the problem i have is the exhaust hitting the control arm. Ive brought it to a couple of places and the people are idiots, and dont understand that i just want a section cut out of my over axle pipe, and a new piece welded in that bends higher. I know alot of people on the site are dropped probably lower than me, and have exhaust's, so what did you guys do? Is there another over axle muffler i can get that has a larger bend to clear the arm? Any remedies i can do by myself without having to have a shop do it? Thanks.

everything looks fine to me in your pics. It looks like the exhaust pipe is clearing the control arm fine. Are you only having the problem when you go over bumps?
Well I say go to a better muffler shop then the one you went to. Any shop should just cut the pipe out from the muffler to before the control arm and then weld another one in place.

^yah its fine untill i hit a bump. Its clanks and i can see marks on the pipe where the arm is hitting. Yah i know, but i dont want to get charged alot. Like its not a big job to do, but alot of places make is seem that way cuz it requires "custom work". Rediculous.

^hmm that sounds like an idea. SO its the actual exhaust moving downwards, or is it the arm moving from impact of the bump. I though it was the arm moving up and down from impact rather than the exhaust. I could try that tho forshure. Shitty thing is if they weld something to my frame do u think it would rust in the winter? (snow)
edit: got any pics of the reinforcement?

Most muffler places should charge about 20-30 bucks to fix that problem. My friend had the same problem on his car it would always hit the control arm on the bumps. Its a simple fix. Just look at the yellow pages and call all the muffler places around your area

yea like everyone else said, you can get a deeper bend, but it will still do it again. Next time it would hit the top of the car. all it needs is more support because you look to have custom piping and usually custom piping doesnt have the same support as a catback or OEM exhaust. Unless the muffler shop does a good job and gives the same support to the custom piping.

Well it has nothing to do with being dropped. the only problem you will run into then is the exhaust scraping on the ground if you are too low. Like I said your 2 options are to add support to the exhaust, or get a new pipe welded in there that is bent more.
Let me ask you this, can you move your muffler back and forth if you push on it, or does it not really move at all? Like doesn your whole exhaust move around when pushing on the muffler?
