You can cut it with the suspension unit on, it is a bit harder that way. You can see the dust cover it is a plastic tube, that is right over your suspension unit.

You need to cut the black plastic cup thing. I had to do it on mine. If you installed it yourself you will know what I am talking about.

Yes its the plastic (black) at the top of the shock, I had cracked mine last weekend. I emailed teins and they said its not a big deal and, could be replaced with a new one from any dealer or with a rubber one so no noise will be heard. But yes cutting it is just fine but not to much cause the dust cover is important.

Thats the boot cover. What I was meant is maybe the shop that put them on used new ones during installation or did you install these yourself?

The shop put it in for me but brought my car to aligment shop today to do aligment on my car and i ask them why my rear is making noise. They help me check, took eveything apart and found that my seal for rear mount is rubbing agaist the bolt or something. they have me cut a little of seal. I see no boot cover. afterward drove my car home it was fine on street when i get on the ramp of freeway is started to make noise again but whole lot. It is ok to drive without the boot on? Should i spray some wd-40 on to stop those noise? Ok i did my aligment already if take rear everything apart do i still to do aligment again?

kalipnoi can only hope to improve
sadly, wd-40 didn't work on my teins. i read somewhere on this forum that a guy took them completely off and just greased them up hella good. i'm gonna try soon, i just have to get in contact with the guy who installed my springs.

That actually sounds like a good idea. When you install them they are greased up pretty well. After time that stuff has to wash off between rain and washing the car.

The problem have been fixed ! OMG Thanks god lol. Did my aligment yesterday you all know that. The squeaky noise is coming from my rear camber kit. I have no idea why after the aligment it away do that.I have spc camber kit front and rear. Take me 3 hrs just to find out. I put some grease and Bam the noise it gone. I happy! weeeee...

Ok.. i still driving without boot cover, can anyone give me inside of it, it is safe to drive without any long trim damage? I cut my rubber spring mount and slip them between the spring and top part of it.

After my aligment why my car is so.. high i asking for 1 inches drop all around but after that it become 2 inches drop.If i drop it like less then inch or 1" Do i have to redo my aligment and camber?
