anyone know if there are significant difference between a solid cored sway bar & a hollow ones?

Solid ownz all. It's of course heavier but the more resiliant it is to bending, the better the bar will do it's job. They are very worth it.

Torsionally there is very little difference between a hollow bar and a solid bar, a solid bar would be stronger then a hollow bar of the same diamiter, but not by much. (Depending on the thickness of the walls that the hollow bar has).

is there any modification needed for the 19mm bar, like endlinks or just bolt in place....

As long as you already have the stock one, just unbolt and bolt in new one. If you don't already have one you need a mounting kit to attach it to your control arms.

Thanks, you also need new bushings. The stock brackets will work with 12mm,13mm, and 19mm rear sway bars, not sure about the 22mm though.

To put it another way... A hollow bar needs to be of a bigger diameter to have the same twisting stiffness as a solid bar, but it will weigh less.

I have the 22mm bar, and when I got it from my sponsor he was going to give me just the bushings. According to him, they fit with the stock brackets. But I was a pushy little bastard and got him to give me Energy Suspension bushings (brackets included) instead, so I can't verify this.

Absolutely unnesessary. Those brackets are all the same if your bar is OEM, they just look different. There was this big debate in the past about the bracket's purpose. The stock ones are fine. I've had mine on for 2 years and no issue.

You should've pestered him to get you some Energy Suspension 22mm bushings. That would've supplemented the bar's performance.

as a side note here... I've got a 25mm EX sway bar I'm putting on my LX... is it worth it for me to buy the energy suspension bushings?
