Tokico's came in today
Well UPS came to my door today with a package I've been waiting 2 years to receive. Every time I would write Tokico I'd get the same reply "well they're almost done." I didn't want to destroy my factory front struts with Koni's or go through the hassle of getting other stock struts to destroy. Plus I don't need the adjustability of Konis since I don't track my car that much. If I was heavy into autocrossing I probably would have gotten the Koni's long ago. I'll write a full review and even a DIY when I install them. It will probably be friday before they are installed, gotta get the car outta the tranny shop first. Anyways, on with the pics.

Also, I was told that the body of the Tokico struts are a little shorter than the OEM struts which would lower the car more. Can you take a pic of the OEM Strut next to the Tokico one to see if there is a height difference? Thanks.

Yeah id really like to know if they are any shorter than stock. So If I have eibach sportlines and get the tokico's and the tokico's are shorter, does that mena my rides gonna be lower? Cause that would be awesome I wouldnt mind it about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower. I wanna know what the ride is like compared to stock shocks especially if anyone is using them with the sportlines.

yeah what flotsamm said... BUT you're going to have a tougher time putting the strut back together though since most springs we're designed to be put on stock length shocks
Flotsamm/ Vnlilman, I would think that the car will ride lower, ONLY if the distance from the spring perch to that of the top/lower crash bolt is less than that of the same measurements on the stock shock. If the tokico's are lower, the stance will be much nicer and we would have a much wider choice of springs to slam the car.
Clownprince, could you take a picture of the rears compared to stock too. Konis are slightly higher than that of stock, which raises the rear alittle. Would be nice to know if tokicos do the same. Thanks.

Yes, this would be true if the two knuckle bolts are placed higher on the Tokicos. This would be like an after market dropped spindle. But I dont think this is the case since Tokico markets them as stock replacements and not as a lowering product. I'm guessing there could be a slight difference in lower perch height or perhaps knuckle holes, but I cant see it being anything significant. Maybe a few mm at the most.
Some side by side pictures comparing stock and Tokico would be kewl to see..

I had a rain delay this past weekend and had to take yet another long trip with my blown stock struts. Hopefully this week the rain will let up enough to get them on or I can get some shop time. I'll take all of the pictures that were requested as I do the install.
From what I was able to see so far the install looks like it won't take more than 2 hours, but then again I am tackling the camber kit at the same time.

Thanks Prince, I see they are on Ebay now too, but they are no cheaper than we can get here through a group buy, I might just get them now.
