suspension problems *help*

I have koni yellows and neuspeed race springs for about a year now. this week I've noticed when I hit a bump or go over a road imperfection it makes this sick sound like a hard bang. It's only on the drivers side. I took the wheel off and had a look and when I was shakign the strut housing bearings came out? where the hell are the bearings coming from? seem to be from the top of the strut.. My allignment is fine just the noice is bad... ist's like i'm bottoming out or something. Wondering if anyone knows what this could be... and is it safe to be driving on it well I wait for my B+G coils to come, should be here in about a week or two
thanks for any help you can provide

Hmmm.....did you check the bolt on the bottom of the Koni's. The bolt that holds it to the OEM strut housing that you had to drill. I had that same sound/problem, but I wasn't losing bearings. That was my solution....I lost the bolt so the Koni was sliding back and forth inside the OEM housing. Check that, but the bearings....I dunno about that man.

As long as you drive safely and don't do anything stupid, and your B+G's are coming in a week...I'd just say, "Fock it..." and leave them alone, you're going to replace EVERYTHING anyway...who cares. IMO. I think you'll be ok.

bearings fell out??? oOo thats not good.. Sounds like when you installed the springs everything wasnt lined up right, throwing things off and causing the bearings to slip out. Its kinda risky driving like that.

The little ***** are from the steering bearing un the upper mount. Its between the spring hat and the mounting plate. Thats seriously not good if they're coming out, you can lose your ability to steer the car. Replace them IMMEDIATELY. I believe there's 18 ball bearings in the track, but I can't remember exactly.

#9.. its $17 from there...
i wouldnt be worried about the fact that you have less 3 bearings but more of the fact that its not aligned right causing you to lose even more eventually. I'm sure if you put it all back together properly 3 less bearings isnt going to kill you.

Diablo, I doubt thats YOUR problem tho. your probably just bottoming out. What springs/shocks are you using?

^^^^^^^^^^I have the same problem as you Diablo. I have Konis with nuespeed race springs. Its only on my front driver side. I'm going to take a look at it today. When I looked at my springs through my wheels yesterday the driver side spring is compressed more than the passenger side. Yet the ride height is the same. I thought that maybe the spring is not sitting on the perch correctly anymore. I'm going to look at it today.
