Aren't worth it for $550 unless you are really hardcore into racing. Just upgrade your bushings.

Unless the civic is pumping out mad amounts of power with a really stiff chassis (ie roll bar, traction bar, strut bars, 600+ lbs spring rates) you have no need for those front control arms. Just get the ES bushings and you will be good to go.

i would have to disagree, i think the control arms are very useful. one of my friends bought aftermarket lcas and he has better stiffer handleing and a smoother ride. for those of you that live in the northern states you would understand that the roads are full of potholes. i know i hate when my car bottoms out. just because you have aftermarket struts and springs/ coilovers that doesnt mean you have a nice suspension or that the rest of the part dont play an important role in your cars handleing....and this is my two pesos

The lca's on the past civics and integras are more important because the suspension was attached to them. Our cars don't have that type of suspension. The LCA connects to a larger piece of metal that is part of the whole rear suspension. The LCA for our car won't do much at all. The suspension isn't attahed to it and it doesn't pivot like in older gens. The LCA might help slightly. But again, i speak out of theory and not experience. Personally i think our control arm is pretty good. Swapping out your bushings will do more than a set of LCAs.
Control arms won't keep you from bottoming out. Good shocks, springs, and even bushing will do that. But there is only so much the suspension can take so regardless you will bottom out. I am from the northeast and I know what it is like driving in crappy cities. I am not saying that LCAs won't give you anything, but there are better parts out there for the same price and you should be looking to do those before the LCAs.

true , true butt a lot of what ppl say about lcas is contridicting to theory they are not just for looks they bring stiffer ride you are able to mount wider tires which makes for better grip cuz of stance, just to name a few. butt ur point is well taken. you can say lcas are like our fart mufflers without the rest of the piping they are pretty much usless

haha fart fart
.
the LCAs for our car won't allow for wider tires. They are really there mostly for show. And the reason they helped on older gens is because they come stock with poly bushings. I really don't want to beat a dead horse here, but the suspension set ups are completely different. Let me try to find some diagrams.

see our rear control arm (the thing with the three bolts) is so far away from the rim/tire that it doesn't help with adding wider rims. It attaches the frame and then to a large trailing arm. That is all of the control arm.

see how the shock is attached directly to the control arm on this integra? that isn't aftermarket but you get the idea.
