full coilover springs, will they fall out?
Okay, I've got a question for everyone using full coilovers with OE upper mounts. When you lift up your car, are the springs snug in between the perch and the upper mount or are they loose? In other words, if you were to catch air with the car or 3 wheel it, could the springs in your coilovers fall out like cut springs do?

You should not be able to move the spring, even if the car is in the air. Make sure that with the car in the air, you have the springs at least tight between the upper and lower mount, if not a little preloaded when the car is jacked up to be sure that they don't come loose.

^^^ what if you have no option of preload nor does it have a helper spring?
like teins.. i dont think it has either.
I remember going to this one shop to get my oil change and they said they dont work on lowered cars because they've gotten complaints where their springs popped out and got misaligned...

If they're so short that you can't lift the car up and keep the spring mounted, then the spring is too short for the strut. Plain and simple. If you turn the lower collar up so it holds the spring tight against the upper mount while the car is jacked up, thats just a ZERO Preload condition. Thats the loosest the spring should ever be.
