skunk2 coilover question
yes im pretty sure the taller ones go in the rear.
on my set of skunk2 coils (part# 517-05-1710), the 2 smaller front ones didnt come with a metal top plate and the rears did.
hopefully i didnt get ripped for these...

on the skunk 2's, you put the perch in the front, nothing but spring and sleeve on the back, back didnt drop that much, called skunk 2 and ended up putting the back springs on the front and front on back. drops about 3 1/2 - 4 ". great ride, you need to shave off the top of the bump stop in the front to prevent clunking sound when you turn the wheel. perch catches on bump stop. wd40 them too. hope this helped.

thanx for the info, the coilovers are now on my car. been driving around for alittle and the steering seems a bit off, camber kit???? also, i hear a metal grinding sound when i make a turn, is that bad??
hey technick03, could you get a picture up somehow and point out the bump stop and perch?
i got skunk2 coilovers for my birthday and just put the front ones on so far. didnt get good instructions so all i did was slide the o-ring on and put on the new springs and the threaded thing (is this the sleeve?).
Looks nice but I have been having problems...sometimes when i turn the steering wheel i'll hear a sound that sounds kind of like the spring is stretching. I lubricate it and it goes away but i comes back later. Also when my car hits any medium sized bump, it just slams hard...don't think my struts are blown but it does seem like I'm missing something. Do I need like some sort of rubber pad to absorb the impact, am i missing parts, or did i just install it wrong...couldn't find a nice install DIY with pictures so I need somebody's help
Any ideas?

i have the skunk2 coilovers on my 03 coupe ex.
yes, after installin them the steering was a little off. i beleive that is normal. i guess u gotta let it get used to the springs? =|
and the turning noise... if its a clankin noise, thats normal too becuz on ur skunk2 coilovers.. its metal rubbing against metal n thats whats makin that noise. if its really gettin annoyin to u, grease up the springs on the top mounts and bottom to prevent noise.
camber kit wont help u with ur steering problems becuz i have spc rear camber kit and it doesnt help at all. its ONLY for alignment for ur tirewear.
hope this helps.
