can i get my endlinks off still?
can i get my endlinks off still?
hey everyone, havnt posted in a while but i got an rsx anti-sway bar a while ago and tried installing it myself and ended up kinda stripping both end link bolts, would a professional shope be able to still install my sway bar with their tools or do i have to buy new endlinks? thanks
edit: sorry its not the bolts that are stripped, it is were you stick the allen wrench, so now its close to a circle instead of a hexagon or whatever its supposed to be, i think im screwed lol

A good shop could probably get the nuts off by using a nut splitter, but the allen key bolt would have to be replaced since you wouldnt be able to torque the new nuts back down correctly.

Yup, you'd have to replace the entire endlink, since the bolt is an integral part of the ball-joint end.
My passenger side endlink allen-hole is partially stripped. By this I mean that using a standard 5mm allen key I can't get enough torque to prevent it from spinning. What I did was use the closest Torx wrench in there, held it down really hard and on a slight angle and I was OK. Since a Torx wrench is basically an allen key with "Teeth" on the corners, the teeth grabbed on to what material was left. After that episode I decided to NEVER touch my endlinks again. That is unless once of them snaps (knock on wood).
