When should I get an alignment after lowering?
I will be lowering my car within the next week or so, probably with Neuspeed Sports. I'll be getting a camber kit installed all around at the same time. Should I drive around a little and let the springs settle before I get an alignment, or should I just drive right across the street and get it done right after my install. By the way, I'm riding on 205/40/17 if that makes iny difference.
let the spring settle then do the alignment, why not just get that lifetime alignment.....i paid $130. bring it in whateve....cuz i think once you lower ur car, alignment needed to watch out for........pro. safety concerned!

Give it about a week. Drive it around, get everything in and seated properly, give it time to settle in. Then go back through and re-torque everything (things will move a little after you do the install, you'll need to do some re-tightening), then go get it aligned.

I have a lifetime alignment from this shop, paid $89.95 and now everytime I want an alignment, I only pay $2.70. There is only one guy there that I like doing my alignment. When I got my konis installed, I went there afterwards and that guy had the day off, and some other guy was doing the alignment that had no idea how to adjust the toe. This guy put my car on the rack, put those things on the wheels to measure everything, had someone else adjust my toe, and then he said everything was fine. I wasnt charged anything, but I am going to go back in a few days and have the other guy do my alignment.
where can this lifetime alignment be purchased at?
im brand new to alignments n never had my car checked for one.
im currently riding stock but soon skunk2 coils w/spc camber all around. soon this lifetime alignment can be very useful.
thanks.

it all depends. To be honest with you, it might be hard as hell for you to get a lifetime alignment with your car dropped. I have mine dropped, but the shop I go to I have been a loyal customer with them for over 4 yrs. and they hook me up. They told me that usually that dont work on dropped cars, but with me they will. Just search around and ask.

I just got quoted $600 for Neuspeed sports, cheap camber kit and installation from my local shop. I know that it is hard for local shops to compete with online prices, but this is ridiculous. I can get the springs and camber for $300 together, so technically they would be charging me $300 for the install!!! I'm gonna try to talk to them about price tomarrow, If they don't help I'll just buy offline and install somewhere.

$600, doesnt sound like they are ripping you off because they probably get the springs for $200, the camber kit for $150, and install for the springs would be around $130-$200 and the camber kit could range anywhere between $10-$30 for the front bolts and $50-$150 for the rear arms. But get the springs and camber kit off of the internet, I recommend robearracing.com, excellent to work with and great prices. But also there really isnt such a thing as a cheap camber kit. Get the SPC camber kit, $150. gets your alignment back within spec, if not, better.
