I want to lower my car next week. I dont know anything about suspension. I have a 2001 civic lx and would like to drop it so that the car and the tire have a distance of half an inch. I dont know what brands are best and all the parts necessary to keep the ride quality good and best of all not damage the car. I really dont want to spend over 300 for a drop. Please help me with what springs, camber kits i should buy. Im thinking the best way to do it is to go to a couple of stores and getting the best deal, but i want to go with the list in hand knowing whats best. Please help me make this list so i can go next week and get this done. I also have 17" chrome rims which are heavy so i dont know if that does anything either. Thanks
Sorry about the pic it was the only way i knew how to put my car up on the thread

so you have $400? i'd save up a few more hundred and get some Hayame coilovers. Totally worth the price IMO.
Adjustable drop height and near stock ride quality.

check out the Group Buy Forum for some great deals
RobearRacing has a groupbuy for some neuspeed springs for $159 i believe.
Hayame coilover go for about $650ish, but its WELL worth the money.

lol...
neuspeed 1.75/1.5
eibach pro 1.1/1.1
eibach sport 1.4/1.4
hayame 0-4/0-4
anything u need camber kits on both rear and front some say just rear but **** the front cambers too and to get perfect camber wear get a front kit. once u go past 3" u cant get ur front 110% straight but it'l be good enuff. also if u get adjustable hayame u have to realign everytime u change height. anyways if u got 300-400 id get eibach prokit anything lower and ur gonna blow ur shocks and then you'll have to spend alot more l8er down the line.. or just do it the right way and buy full replacements....
riley
imo. id get hayame being u sound cheap
but save ur money up and get something really nice ...tein SS or B&G S3, or even better Tein flex.

well if you are planning on doing the install yourself, you could buy eibach springs for around $200 and a camber kit for about $140. but if you pay for the install, you are looking to spend about $80-$200 for the springs, depends on where you go, and for the camber kit, anywhere from $50-$120. gets expensive. you are going to want to get aftermarket struts too. Save up and get a good drop, dont just throw something on there to make it look good.
