Will 2004 OEM Suspension fit a 2001 Coupe?
I just blew my 2001 front right strut out a week ago (like it was any surprise it would happen) and I bought the car after 60,000 km so the warranty is void. My Honda dealer wants to charge me $350 + installation for a pair of front struts. I want to buy OEM 2004 coupe shocks/struts and from what I've read going over this forum I'm thinking they're going to fit but I just want to confirm. Will they fit a 2001 civic coupe without modification? And if there is modification what needs to be done? Thanks.
there shouldnt be any difference at all, im not possitive on this, but im pretty sure that the only thing different about the 04 is a few body moldings and the head light shape which makes the fenders hood and front bumper different but nothing else has really change accept tailights on the sedan have the white square in them and a few things like head rests in the back seats but nothing mechanically that i know of so if they cost more to me they would be a wast of money. if i were you i would go0 to a junk yard and get a pair of struts and take them to a local shop that would probably put them in for like 20-50 bucks.
thats just my opinion.
