When you say your car is dropped?
When you say your car is dropped by x amount of inches, what are you measuring? the height from the ground, wheel gap, spring it self? or what?

ok i guess that makes sense, i just thought that it could also be you compress the shock if you have coilovers that amount of space

eh you have to take into account that when you measure that, its going to be more than that since the car pushes down on the springs(that are on the coilover)
But ya you measure how much lower than stock. Best way to do this is measuring from the fender lip to the middle of your rim with stock suspension. Than doing the same after you drop it and calculate how much lower from those 2 measurements

yes but that doesnt mean your drop changed. Just the ride height of the car changes.
and just because you get bigger rims doesnt mean your necessarily higher. its all depends on tire size and the overall diameter of it.

well i just got black subzeros 17" and am planning on getting 215/45/ 17 falken aenis st 115 for them, and on the tire calculator it says the tire is .64 bigger then stock, so the radius of the time is slightly bigger thus raising my car by that amount?

I thought dropped means really low. When people ask me, I just say my car is lowered. I consider anything over 2" dropped. But when people ask me, I would just tell them 1.75 in front and 1.5" in back b/c thats the specs of my springs (Neuspeed Sport).

true i wasnt really meaning the world i was just wondering what they were measuring, cause when i started to think about it i confused myself, but now i realize all they mean is from stock height
the way i would read it is whatever inch it is, thats how much lower the car is compared to stock height.
example: skunk2 coilovers, 2" all around = 2" lower/drop over stock height
BUT some people have coilovers which give you that adjustable height and they really dont pay attention to their height, they just slam the motherfcuker* and measure it by the fender or whatever they want to do.
i think it was 'zell' that has his car slammed and dunno exactly what height its at? correct me if im wrong =\

As far as being dropped, I measured the distance from the center of my rim to the fender lip and compared it to my neighbor's 03.
As far as what to call it, I usually just say dropped, but Civic2k2 refered to it as "dumped" for as low as I am and as much tire as I'm tucking in the rear.
