NUspeed question need alittle help
well i put on my neuspeed sport springs today they look killer but the front springs are making noise when turning. looking deeper i find that the spring is shifting in the strut just a little then back again when turned the other way. The spring is in the cup or stop when the car is setting straight i took them all apart and reassembled but still do it. Oh the cars an 03 lx 2 door. Any help would be great

Ya make sure everything is grease up properly...
Also one major thing is the alignment of the top rubber bushing.. If you look closely at it you'll notice one side is narrower in the other. the end of the spring goes in the narrower part. that might be whats causing the noise. Alignment of that and the actual top hat itself.

Same happened to me when I first got min installed. Its just your springs settling in. Maybe you put them in upside down like me... haha. But if you did then its alright, b/c I called Neuspeed and they said that it really doesn't matter which side, but the correct side is with the closer gapped coils at the top of the strut. Over time it'll be alright.

I'm putting in my race springs as soon as I get a chance, been either to busy or to cold/rainy lately. I'm just hoping to get everything installed correctly as I'm putting stock parts back on after removing the coilovers. Should be interesting, but thanks to a diagram from VNlilMAN everything should work easy enough.

you got PM
I just put my front springs on today, 110% better ride quality than the sleeved coilovers, and I can't wait to get the rears on tomorrow. Then I'll be riding smoother than I have in quite a while. It was easy enough for those that have questions feel free to ask. Also, make sure to clean the areas you are going to apply grease too with a rag of some sort to remove any dirt/debris that are up there.

ok in the pick i just posted parts10/11 have an arrow that lines up with a mark on part 7 i lined them up but had to rotate 10/11 to get the studs to line up. Part 7 has a incline to it its not flat so when i put it back on the spring ididnt pay any attention to it.. I think my problem is that both marks need to line up when installed and not rotate 10/11 TThat whole assemblie needs to lign up with the lower part of the strut giving even preload on the spring.? make sense Nobody else has noise fromn there nuespeeds Do you guys. Yes your correct... the arrows on 10/11 should line up with 7 even when you put them on the car. Thats why on my DIY I wrote to make sure everything is aligned correctly but not sure if mex wrote that. I think the arrows go toward outside the car? or was it inside? It shouldnt be too hard to figure it out. When its off the car and the strut assembly is apart just take part #10/11 and put it in the 3 holes. Bring it down and look at where the arrow is. Now you should be able to figure out where the arrows go. Also if you look at #7 and the bottom part of the actual strut, you should be able to find lines painted on. That also kinda gives you a good idea of where everything should be.
For your noise I was actually talking about lining up #2 but it most likely seems like the reason why your getting noise is because you didnt line up the 10/11 with 7 and 5/6. but ya if you look at #2 you'll see one side is narrower than the other. The end of the spring goes inside the narrow side.
