suspension comments/help?

I had planned to buy 17'' rims for my leased civic. However.. it would look like **** without lowering springs.. However I am afraid that I will have problems with my warranty etc.. and possibly blowing my oem struts. .. I just really want to "make my car look nice".. Any ideas?

try not to start new threads when you can easily combine them into one and just change the title. I don't know what you think looks nice. I am fine with 17's and no drop, but others aren't happy unless there is less than a finger gap. I would be more concerned about your lease than the way your car looks. If you aren't going to keep it then why bother? i really do believe you will regret lowering it if you have to return it when your lease is up. You can try 18's to fill the gap but then you might like silly. I personally don't think 18's are worth it and they are too big for a econobox.
