pls help suspension questions
im about the order the kw v2 for 2001 civic ex, for those of you with the V2 installed, any notes i need to know when i install mine?i dont know much about coilovers, do i need to adjust the V2 BEFORE i install it and than adjust again after install? and can i install the height and damping on top (engine bay area) or do i have to take off the wheel to adjust?
Last, can someone explain how adjusting the LOW speed damping can improve handling?and whats the definitely of damping?
thanks

to adjust the height you most likely have to take the wheel off. I know the KW's use an allen screw to keep the springs in position unlike most other companies that have a two interlocking rings to make them stay. The dampening is adjusted on top with a little tool. When they are installed, set the ride height to where you want it or you can try to set it before they are installed and see how it looks. Try to make sure they are all even. Let the springs settle for a week or so then get an alignment.
The compression dampening can be set on soft or hard. The harder the dampening the better the performance. Usually for autocrosses one would put the back to full hard then the front to anywhere between 60-80%.
Anything else??
