Springs with swap

If I were to get the RSX-S swap into my vic, would it be better to go with RSX springs because of the weight in the front of the car? Or would civic springs be fine? No point in lowering the car just to get the swap done and then have to go out and get new springs again. Thanx for any information in advance.

Do you plan on getting just springs or do you plan on doing springs and shocks? It might be possible to get RSX springs for the front and civic springs for the rear or custom spring rates to handle the extra front weight. I think true coilovers made for the Si/RSX would work the best.

Ya, I was thinking of going that direction. Are true coilovers for SI/RSX about the same price as civic's? I guess the back wouldnt settle as well because the weight from the rsx wouldnt be there, at least for the springs.

The geometry of the suspension in all 3 cars is totally identical. In addition to that, you can special order Teins (as well as most other coilovers) with custom spring rates. You cannot use the Tein's RSX SS-P kit... but you can order Civic coilovers with RSX spring rates.

If I were running the RSX front axles/hubs/struts, etc I'd be looking to make the best ouf of it.

Boilermaker, I've noticed that the EP3 and DC5s are sharing the same spring rates with most full coilover set-ups (Tein, JIC-Magic). So far, anyone who's chosen to run DC5 or EP3 spring rates seem to have no problem with their D-block under the hood so I wouldn't see any way how it'd affect our cars negatively with the k-block.
