Tiens / camber & allignment Q's

what's up guys...i've read through six pages of this forum, but have still got questions. I know you get what you pay for, that's whay I'm going for the tiens, but what's w/ the difference models of tiens? What is recommended, I've got an 01 sedan ex 5 speed and want to put the best suppension possible. Also, I guess it sounds like you should lower it to the desired height, then put in camber kit, then get it alligned, is that right. Then if you wanted to alter the height either higher or lower, you'd need to re-adjust the camber kit and get the car re-alligned?
I just bought a brand new set of 17's, spent mad money on them so I want to do it right, no tire wear, etc.....thanks for the help suspension guru's....

If you want the best suspension that tein makes then Tein Flex would be the way to go. Most people put the Tein SS on their car. The Tein Basic allows height adjustability but no shock dampering.
You put the tiens on with the camber it at the same time, let the springs settle for about a week then get it aligned. If you do change the height then yes it is recommended that you change the camber and get it realigned.

could you please explain the difference between the flex and the tein SS, so there's three all together?

nevermind, i searched tornactive and saw the difference. Is it worth the money for the flex vs the ss? also, are these direct replacements, or do we have to use anything from the factory set-up?

The flex has higher spring rates (448/556). They also have pillowball upper mounts which replace your stock ones. If you have a '02+ you will need '01 upper mounts or the pillowballs. They also don't seem to lower as much as the SS. They aren't made for the EM2 chassis so you have to get the EP3 or the DC5 chassis.
The SS has a moderate spring rate (336/448). They don't have pillowballs.
The Basic has the same spring rates as the SS but they do not allow dampening adjustability meaing you can't adjust how soft or hard the shocks take bumps. The flex and the SS allow shock dampening.

so realistically, i should just go w/ the SS? What do those spring ratings measure? travel? or weight? I do want the dampening, so i'll prob go w/ the SS...btw, I've got an '01

Thanks Rob

yeah SS will do just fine. Flex is more for autoxers and road racers.
