Lightbulb Chassis Tech Bags

i finally got my rear bags in the other day so i decided to put them on. everything went smoothly until i lifted it up to go down the road. i got a ways down the road and i heard it bottom out in the back, i have strut bags up front ,anywayzs i figured it was a small leak somewhere, so i got out lifted it up and started looking, it wasnt leaking it was pooring out air. here is what the problem was, i saw some people talking on the forums about the same problem, only one of them would leak. so i took the one that was leeking back off and tore it apart. the air wave is a combination,of a shock and a bag. you take the screws out of the bag and take the bracket off of the bottom, unscrew it. pull the shock out of the bag, its going to take some muscle, once you get it out youll notice that there are 0 rings in the bottom where the shaft goes threw the bag, that was not leaking on mine. where the shock went into the bag is where i had my problem. so put the bag aside and get the shock take out the 2 set screws and get a hammer carefully tap the aluminum piece off the shock once you get it off youll notice 2 pretty good size o rings ,that was my problem when they put the shock in the aluminum it tore the o rings, so i went to my local parts store and bought 2 new ones, here is the key put oil on them before you go back together with it it makes it slide easier, but you still haft to use those muscles to put it back on. i took a hammer and tapped it all the way around and got it to slide on. all you haft to do now is reverse the process, put it back together. NOW no more air leaks, works great. also a great ride if you ask me. so if you going to get chassis tech bags 99% of the time there going to leak, dont sweat it .fix it yourself, and save time and money . good products after you fix them right. i hope my little story helps.

if you really want to save time and money stay away from chassis tech. why would you want to buy a product where you have to fix it?

i have chassis tech strut bags up front, which i have had for about 3 months. no problems yet??? the rear is a kind of like a strut,or a shock in the middle of the bag, it keeps it from bouncing. i have 17 inch wheels and i tuck about an inch tire on the back, almost to the rim. as for the front it sucks a**. You couldnt drag the front on a sidewalk. way to high for me. i have not figured out what to do with it just yet. if i ever get these pics up you can see what im talking about. later

bags over shock suck.. why well what happens when you lower a car 3" on stock shocks.. they blow... same with air bags, slam the car and shocks are bound to blow so they're useless

what ever you think bro. you have your own opinion. but keep in mind these shocks are not stock, they are made for going completely down and up. what happens if you dont have a shock?? bounce, bounce. i have already got them, and im happy. so what else matters, im just trying to tell people how to fix some problems with these air struts. later
