just installed Tein Basic Damper this afternoon, front--1 finger gap, rear--about half. dont know if too low or not. cuz i just scarped my muffler tip when i left the shop. thinkin about raise up to 2 finger gap all around.

anybody know what is these thing for (like washer stuff)....come with tein basic, but i didnt install these. cuz a guy install my tein dont know these thing for..is these just spare?

congrats! how's the dampening/ride? hard to tell what size your mystery washers are, but if you've got eight of them, I'd guess they're for the front units where they bolt to the spindle. not sure why they would be needed there though. yea, I just installed my Tein, and are trying to figure what a livable ride height is. lot's of speed bumps in my area.

Those washers look like they should have been mounted above and below each spring, probably to cushion it a little.... if you read the manual it should have showed you where all the parts go!

i checked the tein install manaul, (assembly diagram), but still can find where to install these 8 small washer, most of parts used stock parts, so i guess i used stock washer too.

i think i going to raise up 2" gap all around, cuz my muffler is hanging low, big tip. scarped most of time. but overall, ride is awesome, i lov it.

did u just use the 2001 bearing? or did u get the 2001 mounts as well?

i just use the 2001 bearing, thats is a must, if you have 2002+ civic. cuz 01 and 02 bearing design diff. so since Tein SS and Basic desing for 01 civic, then you needs that 01 bearing for sure. only 01 bearing fit perfect on spring seat. but u do NOT need to buy that 01 mounts, just use stock mounts.

no noise, no problem!

Stock tire, 185/65/15.

i dont know how much i lowered, from stock height to now. i think u can tag up if you want too? anyone know the max drop on these tein kit.

anyone know how long these tein coilover last? if like in daily driving........its gas shock, thats means stronger than oil type shocks?

hondaautomotiveparts.com only had FR for the 01 bearing. Do i just get 2 of them? or do i need one for FR and another for FL?
