basically its how and what type of ride you want if you want show go for coilovers, but you will have a bouncy ride most of the time, if you want some decent springs that actually work and maybe for show get it but coilovers most of the time you can set your drop perfectly and sometimes way lower than springs. I got coilovers I just need to update pictures on how my car looks.

well, i dont want the ride to be worst than stock. and what about getting new shocks and springs, i heard that the shocks will be messed up if i get aftermarket springs and leave the shocks the same.

ride will be stiffer compare to stock with any springs or sleeved coilovers.
stock is most comfortable ride can get..
anyways if you want shocks and springs. you wont be able to SLAM your car, because lowest springs you can get it neuspeed race.2.25.
theres only one aftermarket shocks , which is koni yellow.and you will need to modifiy your stock shocks to make it fit since its only insert shocks. imo i wonldnt waste money on that.
personally . save up buy fullcoilovers.

how much would full coilovers cost, and which companies make good ones. and would the ride be worst than stock, like more damp and soft.

Well if you went with just springs and shocks you wouldn't get the chance to lower it like you could with coilovers. If you are looking to get the tein ss which I have and enjoy then check out titanmotorsports.com they had the best price I could find.

I wouldn't consider GCs/Skunk2s stiff. You could get a decent ride with springs than you could with coilovers but either way, better struts would make it better.
