***SPORTLine Lowering Question***
A few days ago I got my car lowered, 2002 Civic LX 2door. I got the Eibach Sportline Lowering springs. Anyways, the people installed them, but the car doesnt look too low...I thought sportline was the lowest drop with eibach. anyways, I asked the guy and he said give it 3-4 weeks, and the springs will compress and it will lower more. Is this true or was he just making that up? Also, they said I dont need a Camber kit for another 6 months, but when I went to get my alignment done the next day, the guy at goodyear said I need to get the camber kit now before he can do the alignment on my car. If anyone has this SPORTline lowering springs, did it get lower the coarse of a few weeks than it was when you got them put on? if anyone knows.
Thanks.
Thanks.
yeah, appreciate that, im new to the forums on here. but thanks. and yeah how long does it usaully take to settle? and do I need to know anything about that camber kit? get it now? get it later? any help yall can give me.

corrects the "tilt" of the wheel,
like if its lowered it the top of the wheel is pointed inside the wheel well,
like this <kinda>

and camber allows you to adjust it so its stright

well the inside of the tire will wear ALOT faster then the rest of the tire, so ya i would, iv blown a tire on my car, just by putting on 17's, wasnt even lowered, the top was in a bit, and in about a year or so, drivin down the freeway, a chunk of rubber came off, so if you dont have the money at first, do it asap,

Wow...some good info guys
I was looking into sportlines and 17's myself.
What's up with "cutting/clipping" springs? Is it when people want a lower drop then the springs provide?

Yeah dont cut or use spring compressors to lower your car. You risk the chance of the spring popping out since its shorter.
I have sportlines, it took a few weeks for my springs to settle another 1/4". I suggest that you wait a few weeks yourself and then take it in for an alignment. I only bought the rear SPC kit, the front didnt need it.
