Upper Strut Bar vs. Intake ISSUES
Aight 7G peeps, i have an issue and want to know what solutions are out there...
Like most tuners, i have an intake installed on my '01 EX Coupe that i am quite happy with. Well, last week i was at the shop and i picked up a TenzoR upper strut bar to accent my engine and add to my show credit, as well as help stabilize my suspension. I went to install the bar and it was completely up against the intake where it comes out of the engine. If i had left it there it would have damaged the intake piping as well as phucked up the finish on both parts. Long story short: the intake is centered between the strut points. Well, when i went to talk to the shop about it, they called Tenzo and the Tenzo rep said that the '01 EX cannot comfortably fit both items at the same time = you either have an intake or a strut bar, NOT BOTH. The TenzoR upper strut bar is designed to go with the factory air boxes. This seems retarded.
Since i refuse to put my factory air boxes back on, is there an upper strut bar available that maybe leans forward away from the intake in order to fit comfortably without jacking anything up?
I hope this all makes sense - please help.
Thanks!!
