Koni & Drop height problems
I don't know if anyone's experienced this, at least I couldn't find anyone. Anyways I installed a set of H&R springs with Koni yellows and the ride height increased
. I had the H&R's installed on my stock shocks before and the ride height was lower, especially in the rear. BTW I have a sedan DX. I then installed a set of Neuspeed specific sedan springs on the koni's(has a lower drop in the back supposedly) and the rear was even higher (3-4 finger widths). Right now the car's about 2 fingers in the back and 1.5 in the front. Before Koni's it was like 1.5 front and 1 in the back. Somethings not right, anyone know??

Stock shocks aren't made to be lowered and are quite soft on the civic. When you put a firmer shock on there, the ride height will be raised up.

for the back, check the perch. there should be 2 places where you can put the perch. its possible you used the one at the top when you should have used the bottom one.

ya you can use either one... they just made it for "height adjustability"
basically its a nice function for sedan owners(cause if you want coupe springs you can use the upper perch to raise the rear to compensate for the extra weight in the rear).
i'm guessing they put the perch on the upper one cause h&rs are for coupes only and when you got the neuspeeds, they just left it there instead of switching it to the upper one

it does raise it a bit... i left my ground controls on the same height setting and both the front and rear raised up... but its nice to have coilovers because i just lowered it back to the height i wanted...
also, since you just installed the konis they will need some time to settle too... drive it around about 20 miles and the height you'll see will be the permanent one...

Yes, it's on the lowest perch and everything. And yes the springs have settled, but check this out. Notice the Koni perch is higher than the factory shock. Don't get it. I'm asking koni about this one. Anyone else with this problem??

That looks like it's on the higher perch.
This is where I HAD to set mine to keep my tires from compacting the fender lip during normal suspension travel. Had the ICE put in the trunk (phase 1) and it lowered the rear of the car a good inch. Then I installed the Konis and set them to the higher perch, and things were back to normal. . . perhaps a little higher. This is all because I thought it'd be a good idea to have over 150 lbs of custom work done back there.
Anyway, the Konis are MUCH more firm (especially on the firmest setting, duh) and my suspension travel is well within the specs of what I need it to be with the wider wheels and tires.
Adjustable perches = GOOD.
