you cannot re-use the stock nuts. They're ball end nuts for steelies. Find out the taper in the new wheels and buy the matching lug nuts.

Thats not exactly true, I used my stock lugs with my 17" Konig's, worked fine. It was only temporary til I got my original lugs.

I would suggest getting aftermarket lugs, especially if you live in or travel to high crime areas, or even any level of crime for that matter. It's a matter of self-satisfaction.

If you use the ball nuts in a hole meant for conical taper nuts then you can damage the rim. its like trying to put a round peg in a triangular hole. It concentrates all the force on the ring where the ball end actually contacts the taper rather than the whole length of the taper. So you could make an impression in the rim from it, and they don't stay all that tight.

no.. they're made for the ball nuts. You should buy a set of nuts that will go with the new ones. What kind of rims are they??

I've used kyokugens before, and the only time ive ever seen a problem with them is when people over torque them.

But if you do end up striping them they are a pain to get off.
