McGard wheel locks

I am looking at getting a set of wheel locks here sometime soon before I put my rims back on. Reason being is that I caught someone trying to jack my rims last summer and I definately don't need the hassle of going through that again.

I am looking at getting the McGard locks, but I'm not really sure what ones I'll need. Do I need the wheel locks, or do I want the splinedrive locks? I've been told I'll need the M12x1.5 in tuner-style as I've got a set of Tenzo-R Passion-5s, but I wanna double-check that. I just want to be sure I'm getting the right ones because I don't want to go through that episode again. Finally, where can I get these locks at online? I've tried a few different wheel shops around town here and apparently noone carries them. Thanks for the help.

Tire rack has them... I don't know if they have the spline drives though. I'm not sure that the spline drives are "locks"... as you could probably hammer a 12 pt socket on them and get them off. The locks that need the patterned key are the ones to go for... I've got them on my wheels.

If you buy the splinedrive "kit", you get matched locks. Quality is pretty good. I think I paid about $70 for this kit, which included the lugs, locks, keys, and a nice set of chrome valve stems. Any determined thief will get what they want, despite whatever lock/lugs you go with.

Yes, I'll definately agree with that statement, but the idea here is to try and deter and frustrate them as much as possible.

That is right--get the M12 x 1.5 Splinedrive Kit with wheel locks by ordering McGard Part number 65457 (for chrome) or 65457BK (for black anodized).

Go with what Boilermaker1 said and try Tire Rack first because they are the best, but you could also get them thru Summit using these numbers:

MCG-65457 $62.95
MCG-65457BK $72.95 (I got the black ones 2 yrs ago, but I had to wait for them )

Sweetness. Thanks for the info. I really don't wanna see my rims get tampered with again.

I went ahead and ordered the chrome ones from Summit Racing. I poked around on TireRack's website, but I couldn't find em. Summit Racing is pretty reliable too, so I had no problem buying from them.
