Question Going for 18"...Tire help..

Hey everyone. Time for me to go 18" on my wheels. The question is tho, what size tires can I get without rubbing? I am buying my wheel online. Even with shipping it's cheaper than going into any of these stores around here.

I just don't want to find out the hard way that I got the wrong size tire and start rubbing.

I have a 2" drop in the front and a 1.8" drop in the rear..

I have found a nice deal on some Rims with a tire size of 215/40ZR18. (will these fit)?

im running 215/35/18 with a drop of 3" or more and i have no rubbing.. so with only a 2" drop u can get 215/35 ... 215/40 and have no problems

Even with..

So I wouldn't even rub on the spring purch? (don't know if that's the right term) Rather the part that is holding the spring on the inside of wheel well?

you should get some 225/35. get anything except kumho 712, those are the worst tires in the world for grip.

A 215/40 will easily fit without rubbing on the lower spring perch. I would probably go with that size or 215/35, either should work fine with no problems.

Dont go 225's unless you want to roll your fender.

Hmmm...

I just saw that other thread below mine of the guy that has near the same drop I have and has the tire measurements I have as well but running on 17's. Would my rim size make a different when it comes to the rubbing? The thread is below:

Even with...

Hey guys, if I have the wheels that I said above with that tire size and I got a full camber adjustement on my car (it is already equipped with them), front and back, will that make the wheels rub?

With such a big drop I'd go with 215/35 or get 17's.
