Go with the 18", you will thank yourself later. The 215/40-18 is kind of thick and may rub if it is that low. What about a 215/35-18 tire?

i have heard that with 215/35 the rim can get craked or bent easy. it will be my daliy driver but i think 18"s would give me that aggressive look

of course with low profile tires it easy to bent your rims cuz with low profile there barely any rubber, but ill go with 18"

go with the 18's and just make sure you have the correct tire pressure at all times. Like 666 said, you'll thank
yourself later.

I would get 18" why cause when you get 17 people are going to be telling you hey that looks like 16. Check out MWheels

Yeah I say 18" they were too expensive when I got mine or I would have got them. But it depends where you live 18" rims would bend in OR unless you had 40.

I like my 17's. Although I also bought pretty lightweight 17's at 15.5lbs. I also bought 215/45-17 tires. I had this one run-in with a curb and my tires cushioned the blow enough that I didn't kill my wheels. It was a very big blow too. Try 20mph or so... If you're into performance then 17's are pretty much the biggest that you should get. They're good for autocrossing, although a lot of people run 16's too. Eh, whatever...

IMO, that depends on the tire size.
