Info On Hub Centering Rings For Ya...

I'm glad I ordered these Hub Centering Rings. Although I haven't installed them yet, I have had past experiences with them and have never seen a set so thick. With that much of a difference, I would have had a very shaky ride at high speeds.

BTW, I got em from Discount Tire Direct for $10 for the set, shipped. They are 73mm Outside, by 56.15mm Inside. They fit the rims like a glove...and they are of pretty good workmanship...anodized machined aluminum. I had a set of hub centering rings on my old car that was plastic...If you are interested in knowing..our cars have that 56.15mm diameter center and the 73mm came from the rims I have, 18" Tenzo R Shu-4s. I emailed Tenzo R for that info and they said that ALL of their rims have a centerbore diameter of 73mm. Just some info for those who may find it useful...here are the pics..sorry for the quality...

you'll need 4, one for each wheel. When you buy aftermarket rims, some of the manufacturers make a different centerbore (the hole in the very middle) t account for different types of vehicles. The rims that come on your car from the factory are designed to fit that car, but aftermarket rims are designed to fit various types of cars. Anyway, the hub on you axles are a certain size and teh rim needs to be centered EXACT:Y using that hub. Just throwin the 4 lugs nuts on the rim will not center it eactly, because there is some play. Anyway, what happens at high speeds, if the rim is not centered EXACTLY on the axle, than you will have a vibration and start shaking. Some of you MAY have this already and think it is a problem with alignment or wheel balancing...but it may be just this simple fix.

Alot of times, when you buy rims from a reputable store or online from certain retailers, they will include this part with your order, but I bought these rims second hand and had to get them myself...

Most rims aftermarket rims will have a different centerbore, so it will require some research on your part, possibly, if you don't have em and want em.

Anyway, I hope I helped...

actually, they aren't on the website, you have to call them directly and ask for it. They know the inside diameter based on what car you have, but they will need to know the outside diameter, which is based on which rim you have. If it is a brand they don't carry, you'll have to contact the manufacturer of the wheel. I just emailed tenzo and they got back to me within about a day.

I would consider them to be critical...I ran without them for about a 1000 miles and the vibration got bad...slapped them on and the vibration is gone
