Gorilla locks have been around for along time.. back then they were a respectable product. Unless something has changed they still should be..
Why would they be easy to steal? Just wondering..

ya they do look easier to steal compared to these mcgards

cause with the gorillas, it looks like you'll be able to find a tool that isnt the exact shape but still fits well enough to unlock them.. as with the mcgards, it looks like you need the actual key or fabricate one if you wanted to steal it...

Those particular locks are garbage. The socket type lug nuts/locks have a tendency to crack, and the key strips easily. We won't put those lugs on anybodys car. The McGards are also easy to get off. I take wheel locks off all day at my work (Discount Tire). It is very easy. People loose their locks, or forget them at home, and we must take them off. All you need is a socket that is a tight fit around the lock, and hammer it on. Then hit it with an impact gun or wrench. I've never had a set of locks that I could not get off, and I have been there for 2 1/2 years. I would definately reccomend wheel locks though, they are a very good visual deterrant for amatuers, and a small pain in the *** for pro theives.
The best wheel locks I have seen are by McGuard, and they have a spinning metal guard around the lock, so if you try the above method, it will just spin. I don't think they will fit on most aftermarket wheels, though.

You mean the Gorilla Guard locks? Those have a free-spinning outer sleeve on them. I want able to find anything fro McGard that had the same feature.. maybe I didnt look hard enough.

i think he's talking about the ones i posted a picture above... ya those wheel locks look the best.. and ya they do make them in tuner style(the thin lug nuts)
My Gorilla lugs seem nice. Although, they're spline drive style, and I am not sure if they're actually locking lugs. The pattern looks the same on all spline drive lugs. Anyone know whats up with that?
Yeah I ordered from whalen tire myself and I got the tuner lugs of 12 and payed extra for the wheel locks which was 4 and the key works to take off both of those locks. But yeah when I went down to have them put on the place sells the same ones and they told me having both the lugs and the locks will make it very difficult to get the rims. But I have the same set up
