Yes you can put 205's on a 15x6.5. You should be able to stick them on a 15x6 also... they'll just bulge out the side a little

I have Yoko yk420's they are more of a touring tire with some performance, they have good grip and aren't that expensive. If you are going for lots of performance..... Try the Nitto 555, or Yoko Es 100's. Either one is pretty good, and not that expensive.
Edit: Try and get 205's if you buy from a store they can try and mount them. I am running 205's on my stock steelies.
