Slotted Rotors?

Hey everyone, I have way too much excessive squeaking coming from my front disc brakes and no matter how much I clean the pads and rotors, they keep doing it again soon after. I know stock civic brakes blow so if I go ahead and invest the $80 in the new slotted discs in the parts section, would that reduce, if not, stop the squeaking?

have you tried the variouse stop squeak type products that you find in auto part stores? They sell some orange colored goo that gets spread on the back side of your pads to keep the vibrations down. I doubt that slotted rotors will solve you problem. But they look cool and function better than oem under harsh conitions.

that used to happen to me too... get the anti-squeal spray/gel and spread it on the back of the pads (sandwiched between the pad and anti-squeal shim) and reinstall. Also, spray the rotor and caliper down with brake cleaner. That should do it!

Have you gotten your brake system looked at?? You could have a problem that could get worse if you don't get it taken care of.
