Specifics on ordering rims.

Oops, hit enter too soon the first time.

Okay, I'm probably gonna order a set of rims and tires today. The rims are from wheelmax.com and they're Racing Hart CR Evos in silver (17x7.) The tires are from tirerack.com and they're Bridgestone Potenzas RE950s in 215/45/17. So when ordering the rims, what all do I need to know? I have no clue what offset is, so what is it, and what should I order? I've just read that our cars would take a 40 or 42.

Na you don't need to know all that stuff. They'll ask what kinda car you have and then you tell them. Then they'll put in in the computer and all the rims that will fit will pop up in the size you want. I ordered my rims from wheelmax and had really good service and my rims were here in 3 days. Why don't you just order a package from wheelmax?? I'm sure they have those tires and they can mount and balance them and then ship it to you and all you have to do is put them on.

Yep thats what I did discount tire direct was all sold out on my rims. So I went through Whalen with rims and tires. Should be here tuesday I can't wait. Yeah I wouldn't worry they know what will and won't fit on your ride usually if they are a reliable source.

I would say buy through one place to get them all balanced and ready to put on

Thanks guys. I ordered the rims alone from wheelmax.com with no problem. I didn't get a full package because I couldn't get the tires I want from them. Its just the mentality I have from being a guitar player that a great guitar through a junk amp will sound like junk but an okay guitar through a good amp will sound good. So if I'm going to get nice rims, and the Potenzas were recommended by my dad. I know the Kumhos are decent rims, but you get what you pay for and I hope I'll be happy with the handling of the Potenzas. I decided to mount the tires myself (my dad was a mechanic in his younger days) and get them balanced locally.

What did you guys pay for your rims/tires shipped? My wheels w/lug nuts were $900 shipped and the tires will be ~$570 shipped.

I payed 895 for rims and tires both shipped, that included tuner lugs and some locking lugs. Shipping was like $67
