how much to mount new tires?
I'm a newbie with tires and all. I'm asking this question so that I make sure I get a good price. I'm planning on getting new tires and I'd like to know how much I can expect to spend to get them mounted. Is balancing usually done with the mounting? Thanks.

Every place I know of gives you free mounting and balancing with the purchase of tires. If they won't do it for free, go someplace that will. Also a good idea to buy from a place that has a hazard/rotation plan. So get free rotation and balancing, and you get free repairs from nails and other stuff you may get in your tires.
But that's just what I learned from experience.
If you're mail ordering tires, then I have no idea what it costs....

when i went to 45 series 17's from 40 series.....i paid 15.50 a tire...or 62.00 total for all 4 tires mounted and balanced...it was 5.50 to mount..and 10.00 to balance...i prly got ripped off..but i paid 62.00 to mount and balance my tires. and i got the yokahama avs 100..in 205-45-17
