squeaky brakes?

ok, i know its not cuz i need new brake pads, cuz i just changed em. but they still squeak, and make noise everytime i hit the brakes. what else could it be? i put the stuff on the pads so that it wouldn't squeak, and it still does. so can someone tell me what else could be causing this? its real annoying. thanks

solar is an unknown quantity at this point
If the retaining clips for the pads aren't installed correctly they will vibrate causing your squeek. Anytime you have squeeking brakes and the pads are okay its the pads vibrating. I know this probably doesn't help but thats what it is.

Take it back where you had the brakes done and make sure that the clips were installed. If you didn't take it to the dealer a lot of time other shops don't re-install them. If you did the brakes, see if the clips have slipped and also try some more Disk Brake Quiet on the back of the pads, saturate them good, and let them sit until they're tacky. I know this might be a dumb question but, you do know that the brake quiet stuff does go on the back of the pads right? I used to see people bring their cars into my old shop with this stuff all over the facs of the pads. I've done countless brake jobs with no squeeks to date.
