obviously i'm in the minority here but i don't think all cars look good dropped, and i definitely don't think the civics do (especially with 2" drops). the thing is, some cars like BMWs look good dropped, but you don't need to drop them b/c the wheels fit so well in the wheel wells, b/c the well shape is more "bullet" shaped than just semi-circle like in the rear wheel of the civic. that's why when you drop the civic it looks weird, b/c there's uneven space surrounding the wheel (i.e. like no space above the wheel, but space flares out on the sides as you go down, if you can visualize that!). in any case, i look at a lot of the member's rides that are dropped, and have 17" rims with skinny little 40 series tires, and it just looks ridiculous IMO. and since the back of the civic sticks out so much, with a big drop your civic begins to more closely resemble a boat than a car. i dunno, some ppl seem to think it looks good but to each his own i guess.

bamafan:

i say, get the 17" with 45 series tires and f*** the dropping s***, i mean c'mon it DOES NOT look like a 4x4 even without dropping. dare to be different.

rijowysock:

and btw, is your white sedan dropped in those pics? it does look good i have to say.

I agree, I think dropping the civic kinda makes the car look cheap. Anyway that sedan looks good with no drop. Anyone have any coupe pics with no drop?

I have a coupe with no drop on 18's. I ahven't posted pics yet cause well 1) I've been too lazy and 2) my car has a big old ugly *** dent in the front from when I hit a raccoon doing 70 on the highway. Yeah it pisses me off but I don't have the 1500 to get the new bumper, new AC compressor, and get the body work done right now. Anyway if you wanna see the pics email me at Chandler0909@yahoo.com and I'll email you my pics so you can see what they look like.

I've got some 17s without a drop, yet. The springs are in the trunk and I'm just trying to find a good place to do the install.

is it just me or does the stock tires look okei without lowering but when you go with 17's it looks ugly not lowered....well atleat 40 series tires but 45 tires fill up the wheel gap more...

lowering a car is a universal "always looks good" trend. go ahead don't get springs, just get rims and your car will look like a 4X4.

I have seen some good looking no drop cars, but they seem to have different tires, and why is it stock tires look ok but some aftermarkets with no drop look kinda gay.

this 4x4 talk is lame, you must never have seen a 4x4 to think a non-dropped civic with 17" wheels looks like one. and why do something just b/c it's trendy and that's what everyone does

your car looks okay without a drop.....the back is a little high but if you have stuff in the trunk or people in the backseat it will look good

this is why i got the pro-kit. not too huge of a drop, and it should be "just right" once i can afford some 17's.

i think it'll look better w/o the drop, but that's just me. the only reason to drop is b/c the rear fender well doesn't get filled that well by the wheel (it's too big for the wheel), but dropping just doesn't help. just makes it look ghetto imo.
