ADR Wheels? CRAP or NO CRAP!?

both my girlfriend and i are interested in buying sets of ADR wheels, because of the way they look and because of the prices.....

i have heard from 2 people that adr makes cheap quality wheels......has any one had any experience with them? and if so, are you pleased with the wheel or what?

any comments are appriciated.

my bro had some adr on his mr2 and we flipped like 2 times over some field along the freeway going 105. we lost a wheel when a few lugs got loose. the wheels finish got scraped a little, but i was expecting bent rims all around but they're still in drivable condition.. so i guess they're pretty good quality

I'm definitely thinking of buying some ADR Gt sport rims and tires 215/45/17's from www.whalentire.com
They seem like the best deal around... 1160, no tax, w/ shipping, lugs, and locks, and tire protection.
I'm just considering which tires to get... I'm thinking Falken Z rated all season. Seem to look the best.
Only think I dont know is the 40 mm offset? I'm not sure how much that means the wheel will stick out.
Anyways, just my thoughts... good luck!

They seem to chip a bit easily around the lug area. My friend has one that's chipped. Plus they're a bit heavy. But if you're going for looks and not performance I think its a good wheel.

I have ADR RS Limited Trama. I've had them for about a month or so and no problems so far. The only thing that is annoying with my specific rim is that the center cap is INCREDIBLY hard to get off. You have to stick a pointy screw driver inside it to get out.
