Any recommendations for tires?

I'm picking up my EX 5 sp today, and I need to get rims and tires on it quick. Anyone have any recommendations? I need a tire thats good in the rain. Also, will 215/45/17 fit without any problems? It won't be lowered for a while yet, so that won't be an issue.

215/45-R17 is actually the best tire to use, as far as similarity to stock circumference goes. it fits fine. i would suggest the kumho ecsta supra 712, they're very good and one of hte less expensive tire you'll find out there. good in the rain too. many people on this site have them, including me.

I've read and heard a lot about Kumhos. I'm getting those when/if I get new rims.

NO, the actual best tire is the205/50/16. The tire calculator is wrong, proxes t1-s is the Beest rain tire. and its mad sticky!

I had 215/45 17s and had some rubbage when I lowered my Sedan. Now I have 205/45 17s and no rubbage. Others haven't had problems. Who knows. I recommend the Yoko Paradas too.

Falken Azensis tires. 30k mile warranty.. VERY quiet. great dry and rain handling. reccomended tre size to match stock is 215/40R17.. go with 215/45/R17's so you have a little more sidewall to avoid damaging your rims.

Cheers

If you got DX/LX/HX, go for 205/40/17
