banjo bolts

Are banjo bolts universal, because I am having the hardest time finding ones that directly fit a 2001 honda civic! Please help if you know this!

Re: banjo bolts

They have different threads.

Did you check with dealer or Majestic Honda online catalog to get thread type?

Re: banjo bolts

Banjo is a design, not a size.
Order what you need from a dealer or grab a correct used one from a recycle yard. Get the seals too.

Re: banjo bolts

yea I know what it means by banjo. Im not trying to spend my arm and leg at the dealership. And the reason I am getting new ones is mostly because the old ones are, well, old and corroded so I'm not trying to get another set like that from the junkyard.

Re: banjo bolts

Corrosion....You must be looking for caliper/brake line banjo bolts instead of trans cooler line banjo bolts....I've seen them included with reman calipers, check your parts stores?

Re: banjo bolts

Take yours in as the example, or ask for a reman caliper for your car and one banjo bolt, and see if it screws in cleanly. Keep correct bolt and don't buy the caliper.
